In Windows 11 Insider Preview, there is no UI to enable QTTabBar and other toolbars in File Explorer. Run QTTabBarEnabler.exe to save and restore toolbar status. It also ensures QTTabBar is enabled at the top of folder view.

The tab feature in Windows File Explorer has improved a lot, but its availability depends on your Windows version.
🖥️ Windows 11: Built-in Tabs
If you are using Windows 11 (Version 22H2 or later), tabs are already built-in. Using them is just like a web browser (Chrome or Edge).
- ➕ Open a New Tab: Click the + icon at the top of the Explorer window or press Ctrl + T
- ❌ Close a Tab: Click the X on the tab or press Ctrl + W
