DFU Mode
Using TFT Ramdisk Tool V1.0, bypassing the Hello Screen (Activation Lock) is a multi-step process that requires putting the device into DFU Mode and booting a custom Ramdisk.
⚠️ Pre-Check Requirements
USB-C cables are unreliable
- 📱 Supported Devices: iPhone 6s → iPhone X (A8–A11)
- 💾 Backup: This process will completely wipe all data
- 🧩 Drivers: Zadig / LibUSB-Win32 (WinUSB replacement required)
- 🔌 Stable Cable: USB-A to Lightning (USB-C cables are unreliable)
🔧 Step 1: Device Preparation (DFU Mode)
Connect the iPhone to the PC and put it into DFU Mode:
- 📲 iPhone 8 / X:
- ➡️ Press Volume Up (release)
- ➡️ Press Volume Down (release)
- ➡️ Hold the Side Button until the screen turns black
- ➡️ Hold Side + Volume Down for 5 seconds
- ➡️ Release the Side Button, keep holding Volume Down
🟣 Step 2: PwnDFU (Exploit)
In this step, the device is placed into PwnDFU mode using the checkm8 exploit, which allows unsigned code execution required for ramdisk booting.

- ⚙️ Select the Options / PwnDFU tab
- ▶️ Click on Run Gaster / PwnDFU

“Device is now PwnDFU”
💽 Step 3: Boot Ramdisk
After successfully entering PwnDFU mode, a custom Ramdisk is booted. This provides temporary system-level access required for bypass operations.

- 📀 Select your iOS version (15.x / 16.x)
- 🚀 Click on Boot Ramdisk
- 📜 You will see scrolling code on the iPhone screen (verbose boot), indicating the ramdisk is loading
🔓 Step 4: Hello Screen Bypass
In this step, the actual Hello Screen (Activation Lock) bypass is performed using SSH access through the booted ramdisk.

- 🟢 Select Hello Bypass / Bypass iCloud
- ⏳ Wait for the process to complete
- 🔁 The device will reboot automatically
