🔗 ZzKey and UFS-3 Box Compatibility Explained

Understanding the relationship between ZzKey and UFS-3 (Tornado) Box is very important for mobile technicians, because both tools belong to different eras of mobile repairing but can work together in certain cases.

🧩 ZzKey and UFS-3 Compatibility Connection

The key point is that ZzKey is primarily a software + dongle based tool, while UFS-3 is a hardware interface (flashing box). Their connection and compatibility can be understood through the points below:

🔌 Using UFS-3 as an Interface

In ZzKey Nokia Tool v0.08b, there is an option to select the connection interface used to communicate with the phone.

If you own a UFS-3 Box, you can select “UFS” or “HWK” as the interface inside the ZzKey software. This allows you to use the RJ-45 cables connected to the back of the UFS-3 box to flash or unlock older Nokia phones.

🔁 F-Bus Flashing Support

Some older Nokia models (especially BB5 series phones) cannot be flashed using a USB cable. These devices require 8-pin or 10-pin F-Bus cables, which are supported by hardware boxes like UFS-3.

ZzKey software can work with these F-Bus cables only when they are connected through the UFS-3 box.
